Whenever I talk to other internet marketers, the conversation always turns to traffic. After all it’s no good having a great looking website if you’re only getting a trickle of visitors a day. It’s a bit like building “Harrods” or “Macy’s” in the Sahara desert. No one would no where it was – so no business.

Over the last couple of years I’ve tried everything to drive traffic to my sites. Google adwords, MSN ads, Yahoo and more recently facebook and flavour of the month “plenty more fish” Now I know there are people making money with paid traffic but I am not one of them. Now I have studied several courses on adwords, I am of reasonable intelligence but can I make it pay? NO CHANCE!

Now I have studied under some of the best internet marketers in the business: Frank Kern, Howie Shwartz, Steve Clayton, Keith Baxter to name but a few and I’ve learned a thing or two. The big lesson for me is not to pay for traffic unless it’s a small amount to test a market or stimulate some activity to a web site.

Activity is the new “buzz word” at the moment as it is part of “Google’s” new algorithm but that’s a whole different subject for later posts.

No the name of the game as far as I’m concerned is “Free Traffic” free being my favourite price point. However as you may know SEO is difficult and long winded. There are short cuts and there is software available which makes the job a whole lot easier.

I have just signed up for another expensive system $700 if I remember correctly from Bill McRea, who is a top guy with some great products. The software is awesome and it’s the first webinar tonight (5pm PST which is 1am here in the UK), now that’s dedication for you. Update September 6th

I have to say having taken several courses from leading coaches over the past couple of years Bill McRea is something special. Usually with webinars which last 2 hours I get bored and start to long for the end. Not so with Bill. His webinar was entertaining and very informative.

Now everything is not perfect with the Never Fail List Building like most product launches a few things need ironing out. Some of the work has obviously been done by outsourcers so is not perfect but the system itself is brilliant. I have been working with it for a few days now and I must say how impressed I am. On top of that Bill sent a free membership to his “Covert Coaching Club” which is normally $97  a month. I have only glanced through it but again it seeems top class.
