Internet Market – A personal View
I guess if you’re reading this you have an interest in internet marketing. Perhaps you are thinking of starting your own internet marketing based business from home. People have all sorts of reasons for wanting to do this, from purely financial to a hobby or part time occupation.
Whatever your motivation, I should like to think that just maybe by subscribing to my blog a little of the pain, heartache and absolute financial disasters that have befallen me on my journey can be avoided.
1/ If you think making money online is easy – think again!
This is the hardest business I have ever been involved in and I have been in some tough ones for sure.
2/ What about “Push Button Systems”?
There is no such thing. Any program that tells you it is push button with no work involved is just a blatant lie and will not work.
To be successful in the internet marketing arena requires dedication and very hard work. (I still work 16 hours a day and 7 days a week). Now I’m not saying you have to work this hard but I’m addicted.
3/ Sales letters
Remember that sales letter are just that. A sales pitch written by highly skilled and very expensive copywriters to convince you to buy. They often bear little resemblance to reality.
3a/ Phrases to avoid
The following phrases are much loved by the copywriters and drive me crazy. Watch out for these “passive income”, “stumbled across”, “push button”, humble xxxxxxx worker to multi millionaire”, “just 30 minutes a day” (or similar), I am sure if you think about it you could add some more.
I should also avoid any sales letters that show you the sellers beautiful home(s), Ferrari (or similar), and photos from their many luxurious vacations. You know what that’s all about – don’t you?
4/ Conclusion
Now you might think from all this that I’m trying to put you off but nothing could be further from the truth. Despite the hard work and the many charlatans and scammers about, this is a great business and there are a surprising number of genuine people who will help you. Unfortunately they are not easy to spot. I still get fooled by some. You can make a substantial income marketing online and enjoy a freedom unsurpassed in any other business.
The biggest problem faced by would be internet marketers is financial. You do need a plan and a program to work with. I will try to help you avoid the lemons with reviews of programs I have actually bought and used. If they are rubbish, I will tell you. The only products I will recommend are good ones that actually do what they say on the packet.
The problem with the good programs is the cost, not only of the program or coaching but the marketer will constantly try and sell you additional “must have” products. You will also need additional tools to make things a bit easier. The good tools all come at a price.

Take your time and please whatever you do, try not to get sucked in by any of the “Get Rich Quick” schemes which are all over the web. They are big on promises and usually let you down having taken your money.
What Are Your Income Expectations?
* Do you want a full time online business or simply to earn some extra cash?
* What skills do you have?
* What do you really like to do?
* Do you have a passion that could be turned into an income?
* How much time do you have to work on your business?
* Do you have the necessary hardware, a computer, printer and of course internet?
* Do you have any capital to invest?
* If no capital you will need to put in more time (it’s a trade-off)
* Are you willing to put in a lot of effort in order to succeed?
Avoid the Scams and Get Some Help
If anyone tells you they can show you how to make huge sums of money without much effort, they are lying. Plain and simple. There is no push button system to wealth.
I cannot emphasize this strongly enough. Whatever path you choose, if you try and do it alone without the relevant experience, you are doomed to failure. Most new businesses fail within 12 months. Don’t let it happen to you.
